Another New Rarity: ProofLike Uncirculated 1984FM Trinidad and Tobago 50 Cents

Not everybody's taste, but the coin is rare in PL form. I have not ever seen this one before, it is the copper nickel 1984FM Trinidad and Tobago 50c. Not in the catalogs and not thought to exist.
I have enclosed pictures first of the coin and then of the proof copper nickel form:

    I wonder if the folks at The Franklin Mint could shed some light on this? Unless this is one of those errors of omission in the KM?

    They don't seem to be of much help - there have been many ownerships and complicated partnerships over the last 30 years.
    I used to think they were done after 1985, but there are coins with FM monogram from the c. 1992-3 period (BVI NCLT). Some of the later 1984 pieces that I have gotten from Barbados & Trinidad now show signs of at least having been in bags, if not lightly circulated....

    Anyway, not a lot of money out in any case and fun to pursue.
