Obscure Fractional 10 cent note

I recently purchased this note along with other common fractionals. I've not been able to find any information on John W. Major and/or Willshire other than in a list of obsolete currencies. Any info would be helpful. Wondering if there's value here or just cool to have?

Cool note! I have not seen that one before and really like the Washington vignette. The new Kelly book shows the exact same layout on a 25c note from Williamsport, Ohio but doesn’t list your Willshire example.

There are about 5 known of that particular issuer and denomination. As Tookybandit mentioned, there are a number of other issuers who had essentially the same design, and I don't know that any are worth substantially more or less than any of the others. Probably $75-100 retail value. Nice find!

SPMC LM #405 - Collector of Ohio obsoletes. And other stuff, that I'm not going to tell you, so you don't buy it before I do.

Thank you. It was a nice find. Thrown in with some common fractionals.
