Gone is my only Macedonian stater.

After just recently discovering that NGC doesn't guarantee AUTHENTICITY on ancients, I consigned it and it's gone.
That was sort of a shock. Didn't know til a month or so ago.
Only reason I got a slabbed one was the assumption that the slab meant it was REAL. :'(

    Just because a grading service doesn't guarantee the authenticity doesn't mean they will grade it if it is not. It still passes the experts hands.
    Slabbing these is the closest one can get to a "guarantee".

    True. But call me overcautious.
    To tell the truth the coin looked "too good" right from the gitgo.
    It can make someone else happy now. :)

    If there was something nagging at you, then better to take the peace of mind and move on. Sounds like a win-win.
