recently I was able to purchase a small coin collection of Canadian coins. Included were the items pictured.
A friend suggested that this is Chinese Gambling money.
Can anyone elaborate and perhaps explain?
what age and value are these?
It looks like some are the same and that there are a total of 3 different kinds, at least size wise.

off hand they remind me of gaming tokens used for games like mahjong.
They are porcelain gaming tokens. Yours look more modern than the ones I have. There is info on the internet.

Although the language on them is Chinese, they were apparently mostly made and used in Thailand.
