Shipping to Canada

It's been a while since I sold to Canada that was sold for a premium ($1500) and the buyers feedback is only two. What is the optimum way through ebay's standards to get this item to the buyer? They paid immediately. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Cancel the transaction? I hate to say this (esp since I live in Canada) but shipping between our countries is a nightmare esp if anything goes awry. It is so expensive to ship and insuring is not easy. Using Fedex or UPS and the buyer will most likely pay a "broker fee" and 13% tax +/- depending where in Canada they live when the UPS or Fedex person comes to the door. USPS is hit or miss with this but they may also get hit with this tax. eBay's "Global shipping" program is pricey too. I smell problems here, I hope I am wrong.

I have everything shipped to a parcel receiver 1.5 hours from me in Niagara Falls, NY and go pick everything up every 4-6 weeks. I have to pay $80/year and $1.50/package for this plus a day in Niagara Falls, NY

I have the same question except say is a $50 or $100 card
I see Canada sellers shipping for $3.50
    are these tracked/offer seller protection

What is the way to send a card under $500 from USA to Canada that is secure for the seller

    High end w/ signature confirmation - FedEx - ~$30.00

Tracked without signature confirmation - eBay (USPS First Class International) - ~$9.50

Everyday bubble mailers that don't need tracking - PayPal Ship Now - ~$2.00

You're missing out on a ton of transactions for no reason.

At a minimum, enable the global shipping option. There’s really no reason not to. Buyers don’t like it in some cases due to the cost, but lost or stolen items during shipping are automatically resolved in your favor, buyers can’t neg you for shipping issues, and you automatically get 5 stars for shipping speed and cost if shipped within a day.

Definitely enable this if selling basketball. When I was selling more, probably a quarter of my basketball related sales were to Japan, China, and Australia.

Heck, in a lot of cases if you see a sale on eBay and you wonder why someone paid so much, it might be because the seller shipped internationally and there’s no other options.

The reason not to use Global Shipping is you lose a ton of sales because it costs an arm, leg, foot, and misc. digit.

You can offer global shipping AND regular international shipping to selective countries at the same time.
