1961 Post Cereal Question.

Label states "com", I'm assuming for " company?

There's a 4a and 4b.

4a says box and 4b says company.

A little confused as I thought this one was a "box" version, but says "com".? Lol

Anyone have any insight?

  • So is the box version cut out of perforated?

This is the "Company" version. That is the reason it has the perforations around it. The "box" versions were cut off the back of the cereal boxes and have the black boarders around the card that had to be cut around. That is a pretty nice looking one.

Agreed. It's an older label and wonder if it would be worth a regrade.

Thanks for the quick input on this. Much appreciated.

  • Is there a way to figure out when this was graded?

Perforated cards were from a send in offer. Mantle card is off center both ways.

Agreed on the centering. It's probably not going to garner a higher grade. I don't like the look of the BVG holders at all. If it were mine, I would send it to PSA in a bulk sub, request no qualifiers and be happy with whatever grade they put on it. But that's just me, lol.

  • Here is an uncut Yankee sheet I decided to have archival framed with museum glass (no adhesive) . As previously posted in addition to issuing cards on the backs of Post Cereal boxes Post also made the same set of cards available ( special order by mail ) in perforated uncut sheets of ten with each sheet representing ten players from a given team. As you can see with that beautiful Killebrew card the borders are not that wide but you will need to see some white on each side to grade high.
