Is VCP head and shoulders better than PSA Auction results? Here’s the results for the requested card...

I totally forgot about PSA auction results. I appreciate the reply. Thanks.

If you look at the graph above you ca see 4 items with almost a straight line at $270
One below and a few above at around $300

An advantage of VCP is you see what seller sold item, Was it Deans cards or 707 that got lucky selling at a higher price
and/or how nice the item actually was vs final cost. Was it BIN or auction.

    Here is VCP

You can see what seller sold the item on APR as well.

All of that has somewhat limited value if you don't also know what kind of eBucks promotions were ongoing at the time, or if eBay coupons of 15 or 20 percent off were used, or what kind of cash back incentives were being offered by the buyer's credit card, let alone if there were seller's promotions, as well, where listings have fees reduced or eliminated and the seller was able to accept a lower price and still keep their margins intact. You could feasibly and easily have a card selling for as much as 25 percent more than another card in those various reports, but have the actual net cost to the buyer of the "higher priced" card be less than the net cost of the "lesser priced" card.

Also, what kind of cash back were they getting on their credit card?!?

The above is also exactly right.
I watch cards that are overpriced vs VCP and wait for a nice ebay bucks deal.
Recently a card I really wanted (super nice and relatively scarce) was $75 over what I felt comfortable with.
I got back $50 in bucks and paid with ebay gift cards. I think the card was worth it anyways but the promotion made the decision easy to buy.
I buy the ebay gift cards at the local grocery store that has a kickback of 10 cents/gal for every $100 spent for gas on a store "advantage" card. I let it build up until I basically get a free tank of gas. The store has specials that require a minimum amount for a purchase. I bought a turkey for .37/lb and my gift card purchase exceeded the minimum.
