Laminating Autographed Photos?

I posted on reddit about which type of pens to use for different items. Someone mentioned after getting photos signed with sharpie or paint pen to get the photo laminated. Is this something I should do? What are peoples thoughts?

    If you are keeping the auto, you can do whatever suits your needs best, if it is to resell for investment, I would leave it as is and maybe send it off for authentication thru one of many authentication services. A plastic sleeve or holder might be in your best interest

    NEVER laminate, coat, tape etc. any autograph. You will ruin the value.
