What's that other sub forum called..register or something like that?
It's ridiculous what people will pay to be the "best" at something that means squat.
There are over 600 in 66 RED and 48 in 67 RED .
On any given day can 10-20 of those 66 RED become a "67" RED ?
The 66 red can be bought for $500 or less, but the 67 is 11K ?
Is there that much difference from a 66 to a 67 to warrant the steep price jump ?
Mind you there are 48 in 67 . Not like it is the ONLY 67 .
Just my opinion but it does not seem like a rationale price to pay for a 67 RED .
Read the first post again, the coin that started this discussion is a 67+ a pop 1 not a 67 with a pop of 48. And yes biased on the pics compared to the one LincolnCentMan posted and when compared to the 66 I have (I've attached a pic of my coin) there is a very big difference between most 66's and this best known MS67+. Now what anyone on this thread thinks it's "worth" to them is irrelevant, at this moment in time it is worth 11K to at least one person.

The Registry Forum. Squat or not. That's a real hot segment that drives the "specialty" portion of the Hobby.

Thanks for the info Pete and I don't really think I really want to be "hot" or "special"....and nobody likes my series anyways!

Pretty indeed, but I'd rather have a $5 Indian in MS65
A nice 64 Indian half eagle would get the job done for me, Ashland!
Agree. There are other coins that I'd rather have for that price. I'd find a nice pre-Civil War Double Eagle or an early silver dollar from the 1790's. Also, I'd be concerned that cent may develop a small spot or two in the future. If that happened would you be covered by the grade guarantee? As others have pointed out copper is a highly reactive metal. That said, I hope you enjoy your purchase.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.

If I had a billion, I wouldn't mind picking up this pop 1/0 for $11k
