1805 O-110 Draped Bust Half Dollar; PCGS VF30
The Condition Census for this variety lists two XF45’s as the finest known examples, one of which is a raw scratched example that appeared more than 25 years ago. Tompkins lists the CC as 45, 45, 40, 40, 35, 30. The Overton book shows this variety as an R5, while Herrman shows it as R5+(?) with a total of only 12 auction and fixed-price appearances in the past 10 years; 4 PCGS, 2 NGC, 3 ANACS, 2 NCS, and 1 raw.

11 of the 29 collectors who responded to the most recent JRCS pre-turb half dollar census reported having this variety. The average grade was “VF-26”. You can read more about this variety here: maibockaddict.com/1805-o-110-r5-draped-bust-half-dollar.shtml

The most recent sale of an O-110 was by Heritage in April 2018; PCGS VF 20 @ $1080. The coin offered here is much nicer. It is a very attractive, properly graded piece. It is all original and medium gray toned. There are no defects…..$1400

1808 O-104b Bust Half Dollar; Very late die state is R5.
I grade this one a lustrous VF25+. The coin is just a bit bright, probably from an old dipping, but still has an decent appearance.
All of the die cracks mentioned in Overton are present, plus a few extra ones on the reverse.

I am aware of only two examples of this die state that sold at auction between 2012 and the present.
One is Lot 4 in Downey's MBS #36 (PCGS VF30 @ $666).
The second is a PCGS AU53 sold by Heritage for $1058 in August 2017.

This late die state is hallmarked by a bold obverse die crack from the rim above star 6 to Liberty's eye.
On the reverse, a long die crack connects the rim below the leaves to the eagle's neck.
The strike is mushy as is typical for the late die state.…..$250

1811 O-112a Bust Half Dollar; R5 die state
I grade Fine 12; old cleaning but not bright.
All of the die cracks mentioned in Overton are present.…..$120

1819/8 O-101 R1 Bust Half Dollar
I grade AU55/58. Terrific album toning at the rims.
The coin looks way better in hand compared to the picture.…..$1950

1825 O-103 R4- Bust Half Dollar
I grade AU50 and lustrous. This is one of the tougher 1825's to find in high grade.…..$375

1827 O-129 R4- Bust Half Dollar
I grade AU50 and lustrous. This is another one that's difficult to find in high grade.…..$330

1832 O-112 Dash Date R2 Bust Half Dollar
I grade AU-53. Very lustrous. Tough in hig grade.…..$310

1836 O-105 R4- Bust Half Dollar
I grade AU-50+ with plenty of luster. This coin came from Coin Galleries Auction in July 1997.
Somewhat difficult in high grade..…..$375
