I find the Heritage search engine very frustrating,,,,,,

OK, I go to coin auctions and select Buffalo Nickels. I get the Buffalo Nickels. So then I go to the drop down bar and change to Peace Dollars and it goes back to all coins starting with ancients, why?
I do a search and select PCGS coins and I get NGC & PCGS coins,,,,, why?
Am I doing something wrong?
I know you eventually get where you want to go,,,,,, but it wastes time.
I can't seem to search PCGS only coins. Is this possible?
Why have a search engine that doesn't do what I want it to do?
If I am doing it wrong someome please educate me.
It has always been this way for me.

I've had the same experience for a while with respect to searching one category (in your example, Buffalo nickels) and then using the dropdown menu to select another category (again, in your example, Peace dollars) only to be brought to essentially the homepage of all coins and then I have to perform the dropdown again for the site to load the correct issue. I had thought it might be settings that I had on my computer that were perhaps blocking something akin to a popup, but perhaps it is a more universal issue that I had realized.

Yes, I suspected that also for years but got frustrated and deceided to see if it was only my problem. Guess not.
My hope is someone from Heritage will see this and show us a solution or maybe have their Tech dept fix it.
Glad to hear that I am not the only one this happens to. I hope that Heritage can fix this bug. It is minor, but frustrating none-the-less.

I find it a bit hard to use myself. So when I am checking out the buffalo nickels, all of them at once, I just search for
“buffalo nickel” That brings em all back at once. Then for example if I want only 1916 buffalo nickels I would search for
“1916 buffalo nickel”. And that will bring back all the 1916 buffs they have for sale in auctions as well as buy it now from their own stock. But yes I do find their site a bit clunky.

If you use PCGS as one of your search terms, the reason you get both PCGS and NGC is that for most certified lots, the details of the lot description cite the PCGS and NGC populations, causing a hit for the either grading service. This is solvable by scrolling way down on the list of filters on the left side of the screen and selecting the grading service there.
