NATIONAL EXHIBITORS SELECT SITES FOR 2021-2022 & 2023 NATIONALS!
No surprise here.
NATIONAL EXHIBITORS SELECT SITES FOR 2021-2022 & 2023 NATIONALS!
October 18, 2018 By John Broggi
Shortly after the 2018 National ended, eligible National exhibitors received a ballot to select the site for the National in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Based on the success of the event in Cleveland this year, it is no surprise that exhibitors elected to return to Cleveland in 2022 by more than a 2-1 vote.
The current schedule for future National Sports Collector Convention sites is as follows:
2019 – Donald E Stephens Convention Center, Chicago, IL
2020 – Atlantic City Convention Center, Atlantic City, NJ
2021 – Donald E Stephens Convention Center, Chicago, IL
2022 – International Exposition (I-X) Center Cleveland, OH
2023 – Donald E Stephens Convention Center, Chicago, IL

I'm absolutely shocked the west coast gets shafted for at least 5 more years.
If it's in NJ the CA folks get mad. If it's in CA the NY/NJ folks would get mad. So why don't they put it in CA or Seattle. I see absolutely no reason the show can't be on the west coast. No sense at all. Graded cards and the internet has made every state full of card collectors. There are more millionaires in Seattle than just about any city in the US.
7 of the top 10 richest cities are out west.
Las Vegas would make more sense than anywhere here in CA, but I get the reasoning why it's mostly in the mid-west.
I am in the DC metro area so Cleveland and Atlantic City works well for me. However, as a former SoCal resident, this is unacceptable. Then again, dealers have the final say and they don't want to travel west for a number of reasons.
I also live in the DC Metropolitan area, and thought and heard great comments about Baltimore, which hosted a few years ago.
I would love to see a Baltimore rotation. Had a blast going to Baltimore in 2010 and attendance seemed decent.
