You never know where the next coin will be found, are you holding on to one? I am offering 3 grand cash for a MS 64 or better. I know one member gave one of these away without knowing the true value( pcgs is just to lazy to upgrade there price guide) so I figure maybe there is another one out there just sitting in a drawer.

Was the underbidder of the last one that sold at heritage for 4 grand. Thanks for any help...………….Tom

Just noticed your ad. Hope you got your coin. I had 3 1948 S/S's Washington Quarters but never did anything with them as I thought them valueless. These are all raw and probably not what you need but I have some pics of them. #1 may be an S/S/S, #2 can't fiind, #3 S/S and probably machine doubling on IGWT. Hope this helps.

I hate to ask, but does it need to look exactly like this, or be in a PCGS slab with variety listed? It seems later die states have lost some of the components after heavy die polish. - picture from varietyvista is like CPG, but Heritage sale and Coinfacts do not look identical (to me)

Good question, There are only 3 coins graded all of them are MS so as far as I have seen those three match each other with the die polish lines to the right of the S and you can see all three have that little top of the S to the top right of the S. Plus all three had those die polish lines on the Obverse.

I have never seen one of these below an MS so I think the die was caught and pulled. I would buy one raw if it matches the CPG but the 3000 offered is for one that grades at least a MS 64. This is a Tough coin to find as far as my searches has proved...….

I appreciate any help in finding this coin, like you said there are certain coins we try to acquire in our lifetime that require help from others. This is one of those coins.
