Maybe with such a huge markdown, eBay highlights their listings in some way?
Sometimes you want to get your items listed quick before a listing deal ends, but you dont have time to price them all accordingly, so you set a ridiculous price that you know no one will bite on, and then you have time to think about how to price your items once they're listed.
