Sports Illustrated Cover Dream Team 92 Autographs. Please feedback!

Hey,
i am writing from Austria Europe and i got a Sports Illustrated Cover from the 92 Dream Team with all 5 Players signed. (Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone and Charles Barkley). It has a JSA authentification letter saying all 5 Autographs are unique. I am new to the world of collecting Autographs but i read that Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing often refused to sign Dream Team stuff. my Question to you guys is what you think it is worth and what you think i could get for it if i put it to auction. i included pics of it.
cant wait to hear from you guys.
Chris

    Very nice

  • Thanks for the feedback so far. I saw one at www.sportsmemorabilia.com some weeks ago. But now it is gone. I dont think they sold it cause they wanted $ 9950,- for it.

Cool item. Too bad Magic signed on a very dark section of the cover. Also, I'm not trying to be a jerk or say it isn't real, but I never saw a Jordan signature look like that. Obviously you have the JSA authentication, so its more of a uniqueness to me. More specifically, I have never seen the middle "down-to-up-stroke transition of the "M" have such a wideness to it. All the examples I have seen or owned either have a small loop or are overlapping coinciding lines. Look at your example and Stone's example- after the first hump in "M" to the beginning of the second hump in "M". Again, I'm just saying it looks unique to me.

  • Thanks for your feedback. Yes i was wondering about the same. On the other hand i always wonder how many Jordan Autographs are so beautifully written.. if most of them are done while standing and holding that photo or magazine in one hand etc. if it is not real and there are significant problems with the Autograph i guess JSA (Z07540) wouldnt have proofed it real.
when i was in Chicago in the ninetees i purchased some more autographs from an offical NBA photographer. i dont have a COA for them. i wonder now if it is worth to send them in to let them authentificate or are they fake anyway?! i am happy to hear your thoughts….
