I agree that it looks like a lamination error. The extension of the crack down across the bust towards the rim makes it look like a genuine error rather than damage. They are not unusual on Lincoln Cents but this is a pretty nice example.

Thank you for answering...the lamination is still on the coin just bend back...the damage seems to be as old as the coin by the coloring do you think it has any value
Looks like a peeled back lamination. If you post in the US Coins forum the error experts will advise.
Just out of curiosity did you use any specialized photography or something simple. I always have the most difficult time displaying the significant parts of a coin when trying to share.
