On 5/31/1861 he mustered into "D" Co. PA 36th Infantry
He was Mustered Out on 6/16/1864 at Philadelphia, PA

    Very nice item. I do not think you have the name right. It looks to me like the last name is"Fiaddis". He writes "camp curtin" which was in Pennsylvania. Maybe that will help. If you find anything in your research, keep us updated.

    Perhaps you might post this item on a forum devoted to the Civil War. I'll bet you'll receive a much quicker answer. There may even be some reenactors in PA who "play" that unit.

    I am seeing a John Faddis in Chester Pa. Family tree starts in 1600's and ends in 1844. Use the Google. Good luck. Peace Roy
