Need to know

What is the point of NGC or pcgs having coins in a holder with no grade but instead BU? I assumed you just get "graded" coins in the ngc or pcgs holders???

So...you wanna "hold" every BU coin?

So this being in a holder, it's also a registered coin. I can see where this would be a good reason for it

Coins "graded" Brilliant Uncirculated on the holder I believe were sold on TV or other promotions.

I have some 50 euro cent coins in NGC slabs labeled that way.

Dealers and marketers get them into a slab without paying actual grading fees.

On occasion they can also be sample or advertising slabs. Or, they can also be used to guarantee provenance as with the coins recovered from the World Trade Center.

It does guarantee aurhenticity but for generic coins that isn't an issue.

I am pretty sure these types of slabs are special arrangements for large quantities. I dont think an individual can get one or two done this way
