1811 O.104a, PCGS VF35. R1 (R4 die state?). SOLD
Great surfaces. Superb example.
This well circulated "large 8" is one of just two die marriages for the year. All other yeardates are of the "small 8" variety. The obverse, while not a LDS, certainly shows the results of a die near its end of life. Note the die cracks.
The reverse is not heavily worn but it shows typical central relief weakness and a complete absence of denticles, a sign of a LDS strike.
Never been to CAC.
1819 O.108, PCGS XF40. SOLD
Wonderful eye appeal. Gorgeous, original toning. No disappointments. Never been to CAC.
