Pcgs prong holders for peace dollars?

So recently I bought a 1935 Peace dollar ms63 with true views. However, it is newly graded but it isn't in a prong style holder. It's one of the holders that goes around the entirety of the coin so you can see no reeds. Online however I see many newly graded peace dollars in prong style holders. Why is this?

Maybe they are tying to use up old stock.

Just for reference,

Prong holder with Peace Dollar, I prefer this style holder
The whole coin holder which is what I have, they use this for Eisenhowers as well, I am confused!

congrats on the 63 for your coin, personally, i would not care which holder it is in, i would be just glad it straight graded, imho
I prefer no prongs for some reason
I am a dinosaur and prefer the older holders as well.

Maybe they let you choose? Like reverse forward?
I always liked the full gasket but I accept it as an effect as to my first introduction to slabs. I wish they gave you a choice, but have since gotten over the change. Still, like the prongs for coins with edge lettering. This is the first I’ve heard of a current grading event where the full gasket was used.
Interesting. Either way, I prefer their prongs to NGC's.
