I went to revise an item on mobile and was prompted with this. Interesting feature. Didn’t see any discussion here on this yet, maybe I missed it.

Hopefully it will help reduce the price of those out of line BINs.

I assume you set the $6.80? This will make me miss cards with the drop. I do my searches all the time starting with new items. If buy it now was too high and I didn’t watch a card because of it I do not think I would notice the dropped price. Have been more aggressive lately on watching cards in case there is a 15% coupon so might have some on my watch list that would drop with this festure.

Nope. I did not pick anything, price, duration or %. That is what they recommended and it does not look like it can be adjusted, at least from this screen.

stubhub had this for a while. I kind of like it for item that you've had sitting for a while and won't be crushed if it sells for less than X or whatever, or if you have a ton of items and don't want to manage them closely. Ultimately if it sells for X it's probably an indicator that it's the right price and you've been too high previously anyway

I believe if you've at least viewed the item at the original price, you'll get an email notifying you of the price drop and most current price, and then again upon each subsequent price drop, as long as the item remains available for sale. At least I think that's how it's supposed to work. I've been getting the price drop notifications quite frequently, of late, even on things that I viewed accidentally and have no further interest in.

Just curious, but what was the original price of the item? Makes a big difference if it was a $100 item or $10 item in terms of dropping it to $6.80

IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
