even if the card went all the way to the left of the wrapper, which it doesn't...see how the white cello also sticks out on the right side...so by your theory both sides would extend a lot then...but I know how much border the 1987 Topps cards should have if centered, and this card is woefully off-center....I don't mind those cases when the difference between a 9 and 10 can be argued, but in these cases where it is blatantly clear....I wonder if PSA ever goes back to the grader and shows them their errors or asks them how they came up with the grade? I'd love to hear the grader explain these...but seems as if people still paid decent money for them, so buying the holder is still in vogue...
It matters but to a much lesser extent than it does for cards. The wrapper is perfectly centered which is far more significant here as the condition and state of the wrapper and its seal on back are what primarily determine the grade for a pack.

What is going on? Centering is supposed to matter when grading cellos. This is way off center:

I agree on the Murray. That's an insane miscut. On the bonds, I think the white on the cello is creating the illusion of bad centering.
