I love this set, particularly the first series cards with bright colors all the way to the edge. I was not alive in 1969, however, for some reason this set resonates with me as representative of my mental projection of the time. I'd have a hard time deciding between the hot pink, red, orange and blue backed cards as to which is my favorite - but I do know that yellow is the one I like the least.

That said, I have been collecting this set for a few years in raw form. I was also collecting it in graded form having collected approximately 100 of the cards. However, once I put the set into Card Saver 1's in a binder, I decided to sell (most) of the graded cards and focus on the raw set. It's very enjoyable to get out the album and page through the set while having the cards secured to the page with a PSA perfect fit sleeve and still reasonably protected with the Card Saver 1 vs. being in a 9 pocket page.

So I decided to start a thread and have people share their 1969's! There are tons of great cards in this set, both NFL and AFL. It's the last set until 1982 where Topps was licensed to use team logos and the Dallas Cowboy's logo is one of my favorite's, the colorized version of the Cowboy Joe.

I'll post about a page a day, as I have time, from my set. Hopefully someone other than me will enjoy the cards and share their love for this set!
