Dreck sort of used to mean normal average collector coins that won’t go up in value and I believe using the term to describe those types of coins originated after that lady from Legend coins posted in a blog that everything that wasn’t an investment grade coin with a high price tag and with upward potential was all dreck. There were tons of forum posts about it and other things she said. This all started back in about 2005 or so and the term stuck. But now it means anything from average collector coins, to altered or cleaned coins to “roadkill coins”
