Trying to bone up on the Liberty Seated Dollar series. 26K mintage, some shipped to the Orient, how many really still exist? Seems like there shouldn't be that many. Sleeper?
Thanks

Survival Estimate in MS is 32. R 8.8.

All the 50's in the series are basically difficult to locate.

One of the tougher dates in MS. Oddly, I've seen more MS 1855 dollars in the last few years than in the previous 30 years.
This date is still one of my favorite top 6 non CC dates in MS.

They're so rare that I don't own one.

    Later, Paul.

    1851
    1852
    1872-S
    1855
    1854
There are several other dates that are close:
    1845
    1846-O
    1850
    1856 (especially fully struck)
In my opinion the 1858 Proof only date is very underrated at today's levels.
