Robert Brooks was a pretty good Packer.

I think he may have invented the Lambeau Leap.

Digging on those last two Chester McGlockton rookies! I met him back in 1991 at Clemson when I was there on a recruiting visit. We were allowed down on the field and in the locker room after the game. He was a mountain of a man and ended up giving me the Clemson armbands he wore during the game. Gone too soon, RIP

Actually, I believe LeRoy Butler invented the Lambeau Leap.

Looks pretty nasty to me... Not the cards, they look great... I'm talking about the Michelob Ultra.

I wonder how many Favre cards one should normally expect in a box? 3?

yeah, my bad on the math ;) -- assuming you paid around $400 for the box, if you can get even a couple PSA 10's, it's been a worthwhile excursion....

I don't understand why 1992 Favres have the va,i.e. they do when his stadium club rookie card is 1991. I think we should all be buying 1991 boxes to open!!

Guess it is like Mantle’s second card being more than his ‘51 rookie.

I actually get that one where topps is more collected and 1952 topps is the set of the century.

Kind of like Jordan 1986 fleer is worth more than 1985 star because of the manufacturer and set difference as well.

What I still don't understand is why a second year card from the same manufacturer holds that value and not the rookie card??

From my time working at a card shop in the 1990's while I was in college, I believe 1992 TSC high numbers Football were a big deal because they weren't offered directly to hobby shops and there were supposedly only 300 cases produced.

For a 100 card set, there's some serious star power there other than the Frofrah. Five Frofrahs is outstanding. The power of the Mike Ults is undeniable.

@rtimmer '84 Star Jordan is worth more than the '86 Fleer.

    Seacrest OUT!

Like 93 Finest, weren't these also like $10 per pack at release?

What’s that rocket card? Don’t remember that. Just the pro set and classic cards

Scans of most of my Misc rookies can be found <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.collectors.com/m...y&keyword1=Non%20major">here

Agreed but I said 1986 Jordan Fleer is worth more than 1985 Jordan Star which I still think it is.

Now back to the topic at hand... Why is the Favre 1992 TSC worth more than the rookie 1991 TSC card?

Just because someone paid more for it on day 1?

@rtimmer from what I remember back then it was because way less 92 SC hit the market compared to 91 SC. The 92s were hard as heck at the time to get your hands on. Also probably doesn't hurt the fact that 92 has him in a Packers jersey compared to 91 which doesn't. I have owned a few 91s over the years since it is his rookie and have never cared to pay more for a 92 since it isn't his rookie (I am with ya that I don't care if it is more scarce). B)
