A friend asked me to sell a small group of $20 Double Eagles that he purchased in the early 1980's. Most of the coins have old ANACS certificates from the 1980 -81 era.
Here's the list:
1927 $20 Gold (#2)
This one was graded MS 60/60 (cert # E-8941-I). I grade as MS63.
The coin has booming luster and very minimal marks......$1285 delivered.

1927 $20 Gold (#6)
This one was graded MS 60/63 (cert # E-8942-I). I grade as MS62/63.
The coin has strong luster and a few obverse marks......$1235 delivered.
...................................
1927 $20 Gold (#3)
This one was never sent to ANACS but was purchased during the same era. I grade as MS62+.
The coin has strong luster......$1235 delivered.

1928 $20 Gold (#4)
This one does not have an ANACS cert, but was purchased during the same era. I grade as MS63+.
I would have graded 64 without the small planchet flaw seen in the left obverse field.
I love the look of this one......$1255 delivered.

1927 $20 Gold (#5)
Another 1927 that was graded MS 60/60 (cert # E-8943-I). I grade as MS63+.
The coin has booming luster and very minimal marks......SOLD.

1927 $20 Gold (#1)
This one was never sent to ANACS but was purchased during the same era. I grade as MS62+.
The coin has strong luster......SOLD.

1924 $20 Gold (#8)
This one was graded MS 63/63 (cert # E-3803-E).
The coin has strong luster and a few obverse marks......$1245 delivered.

1842-O Seated Liberty Dime F103 Top 100 shattered reverse
Original coin that has darker original toning.
Fortin 103 variety. Shattered reverse #1, reverse of 1841.
Per Fortin: The reverse was likely lapped leaving a reduction in wreath and legend details. Many are seen with the Legend being barely visible outside the wreath details.
The coin offered here has atypically strong reverse detail. Nice coin.......$447.
