FSH: Esoteric Items... Lee & Reynolds Indian Trader Token /// Sage's Historical No.4

Looking to sell a few more esoteric items to raise funds for another purchase. I don't have a good photography setup, so my pics kinda suck. But they give a decent idea of the pieces in hand. I do have the seller's original images and they can be sent to serious potential buyers. PayPal preferred. If you're interested, let me know and we can work out terms. Feel free to PM or email at pac75@comcast.net. I will try to check in often. Thanks for looking!

Lee & Reynolds One Dollar ca. 1870-1880s. Brass token issued by Lee & Reynolds of Indian Territory, present day Oklahoma. Nice near mint state/mint state with about 20-30% original mint brightness. Top of obverse is a little bit darker than rest of piece. Ex- Steve Hayden at $383 5/2011; ex- Henry South. Asking $375 delivered.

Sage's Historical Token No. 4 Very cool token. Commissioned by the young Augustus B. Sage (founding member of the ANS) ca. 1858. Dies cut by George H. Lovett. One of a series of tokens issued during a period of renewed interest in the nation's founding. Each with a historic location on the obverse (usually a building) and unique reverse design. This one with the uber cool "Join Or Die" rattlesnake surrounding the reverse elements. All of these tokens well covered in QDB's American Numismatics Before the Civil War 1760-1860. Copper Original Strike. Nice mint state with some red on obverse and mostly red reverse. Obverse fields toned brown with some blue tinges. Mostly bright, but slightly subdued red. Ex- John Kraljevich at $325 3/2016. Asking $285 delivered.

Those look like the old 2x2's that Steve Tanenbaum had in his collection, with the different color ink and notes on provenance. Whatever that man put in his collection is good enough for any of ours, that is for sure. Good luck with sale!
