Picked up my 1st Topps Venezuela; thoughts?

JimMeantJimMeant Posts: 342 ✭✭✭

I’ve been a vintage collector for years but I picked up my very first few Venezuela Topps cards at the National last week. They are just commons but still looked to be in pretty good shape. No creases/wrinkles of the sort.

Anybody out there familiar with how PSA grades these tough issues? Any opinions on how they might potentially grade and I what I should expect?

Nice first batch for sure. Most of the time the backs are missing parts or glued onto something. You may have a pop 1 or 2nd best card in both.

Nice examples. HOF players in this condition are worth a LOT!

As stated, backs of cards often have either missing paper or glue residue. I have noticed the cards for the most part seem well centered. Yours are beautiful!!!

Nice looking cards, almost as good as it gets for Venezuelan . Elston seems a 5 to me. The Sherry looks to have some staining/water damage on the back near the cartoon, its probably a 4.

  • Agreed, they don't get much better than this. I'm looking for Maris examples in 6+ myself. Most of them look like they were dipped in motor oil and worn inside someones underwear for a good decade.

Now looking for a 1950 Bowman Baseball Box as pictured below.
