Can Anyone Help With This Chinese(?) Banknote?

Hello Everyone,
This one has me stumped. We've handled many lots of old Chinese Banknotes which had passed through the door; I can't find it in Pick (maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places), but I'm sure I'd remember the red square over-printing if I had seen it before... and I'm guessing that it's of a Chinese origin, though I don't see any of the usual characters. Thanks for any help!

    I don't think that you will find this one in Pick.

    My guess is that it's a private issue but you'll need a specialist to tell you more.

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
