Question about PSA grading

If a card has pencil markings on the back of a card and you send it in for grading with no qualifiers, what would it grade? Assuming it was a 2.

    They dont skip qualifier grades on marked cards. It would be shading the alteration.

    Thanks. I was thinking if they thought it may be a 3 they would grade it a 1 with the pencil marks.
