Ebay block Iran coin listing by removing one of my listing. It used to be OK to sell on US only but now it said can't be from or to.

Sorry about that. Are coins from Cuba still banned too?
I believe so much to my dismay
I do find a few Cuban coins on the bay in random categories

Ebay has to follow the embargo list which includes: Iran, Cuba, Syria, and North Korea.
I own coins in all those countries

Oh boy !!!
Look under "Persia". I can find Cuban coins under Caribbean etc.
Iranian coins used to be allowed on eBay, in fact, there was a separate category for them, as long as you didn't offer international shipping on them. Earlier this month, new Iranian pieces we tried listing were blocked. Yesterday, we got email that our good til cancelled Iran listings had been pulled.
@Insider2 Yes, Cuban coins are still banned... (Even ones minted in the U.S.?!)
@SaorAlba You can find exceptions, but eBay regularly does patrol for that, people used to list under 'Islacuba' or other varients... When they catch you, you get a very strongly worded form email, and a 'strike'. I have no idea how long those last, but after we got one for an 'Islacuba' listing (that had ended weeks before), decided to play it safe
On a positive note, coins from Sudan were blocked for a while, but at some point within this current year, they are no longer...

Now, if they'd only crack down on the counterfeits, we'd be in high cotton.
I'm still a buyer if them

It would be interested to see if auction house still sell those coins.
I just did a search, HA is still offer Iran coins in auction.
From Ebay:
eBay doesn't allow the sale of items to or from countries, organizations, businesses, or individuals where the United States government has an embargo. This includes Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and other countries. This significantly restricts or bans all trade with these countries. As a United States company, eBay is bound by the government’s restrictions regarding these embargoes.
The only exceptions are items defined as "informational" or "licensed" by the U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control.
It's ALL (baloney). If Heritage can offer items made in embargoed countries, so may eBay. One just cannot ship to those countries, but buying old things made in them should be OK. By that reckoning, maybe half the Ancient coin listings should end... Stamp listings, too
Ebay has it's own blacklist of countries.
