Sorting through some old correspondence from my school days I opened a letter and out fell a leaf. Yesterday - several decades later - I mailed it back to the sender with the accompanying penned Haiku:
Brown rice
Pinto beans
Black beans
Chicken
Shredded white cheese
Sour cream
Mexican corn
sometimes I don’t get the corn, sometimes I do, but it’s actually a really good burrito with just those simple ingredients…
Next time, you’re at chipotle, try it!
Wow, look at all of that yummy goodness. I'll be back, gotta find the wife. Who are we kidding, I'm off to Chipotle, then the wife. Counseling has taught me about priorities
For this Friday's posting - Mountain Views from the office taken Thursday afternoon,
In the first photo, the two mountains are Mount Foraker on the left, and Denali (f/k/a Mt. McKinley) on the right.
The second photo is a closer-up of Denali.
The third photo is a closer-up of Mount Forkaer.
The final photo is of Mount Susitna a/k/a "Sleeping Lady."
To put the above in perspective, Denali and Foraker are approximately 130 miles distant from where I was standing to take the above photos. Only on a clear day are they visible and Thursday's atmospheric conditions added magnification.
To reach Denali National Park by road it would be a 4-5 hour drive over 229 miles of roadway. By train it would be 8 hours.
By comparison, Mount Susitna is 33 miles from where I stood.
I never saw the ball leave the club face and my buddy said it was on the green. This first picture is me trying to enlarge and see the green with my cell phone while he was hitting, no ball.
Had to go get my phone after I saw the ball in the hole and dropped my clubs in disbelief. That’s me on the left and my buddy Jeff on the right lol.

Both. I take up a lot of real estate. One of those new fangled Tesla's

Holy Cow! That’s the fanciest and most striking bird I’ve ever seen.
What is it? From where? Did you take this photo?
Or, at least just tell me it’s not an AI or Photoshop creation…
