    Not sure why I didn't think of this before, but by subtracting 100 from 2022 the year would have been 1922. Subtract a few more years for ownership of the bike and that puts the time frame of the hiding of the bike to coincide with a young man heading off to Europe to serve his country in World War I.

    The fact that it remained hidden behind the bricked in wall for over 100 years could well suggest its owner never returned from "Over There."
