a hobby
a hobby/investment
purely investment.
Depending on your answer you will know what to do.
If it is a hobby, buy what you like and makes you happy and don't worry what your return on this will be as the enjoyment you can get from this hobby if done right is priceless.
If it is a hobby/investment then you may want to have a bit of quantity, but more quality for a better return on your investment.
If it is all investment then find another hobby. Coins as an investment doesn't usually turn out well unless you can afford some really rare coins.
