I use an LED headlamp...same as I use deer hunting and a 16x loupe. These old eyes ain't what they used to be.
I never would have thought about that, thank you. I have a headlamp I use for fishing that should work well.

I can't remember who suggested it originally, but every time this same topic comes up on the board, all the replies direct to the same $5 loupe item. I picked one up years ago based on the threads on this board and it works great.

I use two different ones. One for quick glances for my own viewing, this is a dual lens 30x and 60x, with LED's for both.

The other I use is for when I want to take pics of the corners or edges on my phone so I can review them later or show them on forums. This one is also 60x.

Those are cool and you've got me thinking about trying the cell phone one for fun. Thanks for taking the time to post that.
I use a 3" magnifying glass because I can press that up against my glasses and have good magnified peripheral vision, which is great for examining surfaces. Many surface issues don't show up under direct light, you need to have the light and your focus off to the side and that's when I pick a lot of minor print lines or other hoozywhatzits. Using 60x seems like it might be overkill. I guess it would give you one hell of a close look on corners but it would also give you a vision that the grader isn't going to see. Under 60x you'll see imperfections that no grader (or anyone else, for that matter) would see.
I think 10x-12x with a nice LED desk lamp (Phive desk lamp) is more than enough to cover grading needs.

I’ve posted it before, but this is the kind of pics the phone mounted 60x takes.
