@Along Why not try for a complete Carson City set? You can spend as much or as little as you like to fit your budget and the grades you like. Obviously the 79-CC and 89-CC aren't gonna be cheap in any grade.

How many coins? What budget? The shortest is a mintmark set. You could also do a date set but some of those are expensive (1891-95). Do you want matching grades or a mix?

Another good idea, @Kkathyl . You could also do one per year (regardless of mintmark), but 1895 is the stopper there, as both the 1895-O and -S are tough, and the 1895 is proof-only (so far >:) )

    Kind regards,

    George

All great ideas - thanks. A Date Set that includes all 5 mints sounds really interesting. A CC Set would be fun to put together and own also.

A 19th and 20th century mint mark set may work and expand on the above. Plus, you only have to get one CC!

    Spoiler alert.... "JOKE"

Well you could get a complete 3 coin set (P, D, S) of 1921 Morgan Dollars. Then you'd probably have a "sampling" of all Morgan dates and mint marks ever minted. Unfortunately that complete set of dates and mint marks would be have been melted into making the 1921's. :):):)
