$31,500 was the best offer accepted.

Seller has no history with high dollar cards and the photos are sketchy.

I stayed away lol

Also when a seller says a item is on consignment they sometimes do it to protect themselves. If something is wrong with the card they play dumb and blame the consigner.

How would anyone here do a deal like this?

Meet at a bank where there's guards and hand them a certified check or something?

I was under the assumption that PayPal/ebay only guarantees up to 2K?

Curious where did you hear the 2k only guarantee? I’ve never heard of that.

Whenever an Ebay seller offers a 31k card and a $12 card, and the pics on the $12 card are much better, I begin to worry.

Good work... looks like it sold for 16k back then.

I would lean towards this being a legitimate sale but you never know.

It’s a gamble.... I would appraise this card at 40-50k range because of the centering.

Would probably hit mid to high 50k but the paper loss on the neck is a problem.

Also it has what looks like a water stain on the bottom right corner.

Would probably be a PSA 2-3 today.

Just a FYI ....

When I first started out on eBay I did not worry about scams because I thought I was covered 100% buy the buyer protection...

Turns out that ebay has a lot of loopholes unfortunately

Some dude who has 0 experience with cards will look at and decide your case.

I remember calling to dispute a return case I lost because the card was bent and not Near Mint like the listing stated. I spoke to a ebay employee over the phone and he said what does it matter about the condition it’s not like it has moving parts like a car...... NO JOKE LMAO
