Hi guys,
I am new to these discussion boards and have a tough time predicting my PSA grades before I sent them in. I expected at least a Mint 9 on this card, and it came back a 6. This 1971 Dell Team Stamps Clemente doesn't seem to have any major problems. The back is OC but Iv'e seen 10s have the same OC back. I would like to send more in, but won't if PSA gives me these grades. Does anyone know why this graded a 6?
Thanks so much guys and Have A great day!!!

my initial thought, although no expert by any means, may be because there is no black border showing on the right edge and most of the top edge?
Thanks Kep13, That is certainly a possible reason! Didn't think of that. There is one up on ebay rn (PSA 10) that has a black border on the top, but like mine has no border on the right side.
Here's my 10, some border issues and still a 10. I would assume you have a minute surface problem. Bottom right corner looks a bit off too, not square.
I picked up a lot of 20-30 Killebrews that all looked perfect upon closer inspection there were very slight surface issues.
When checking your cards/stamps, hold the card up under a bright light, sunlight even better, so that light shines/glares across the surface and many times you will see problems.
I'm no expert, but I doubt if your top to bottom centering on the front is good enough for a 10 or even a 9.

From the back view, the surface looks a little wavy in the top right corner.

Then the Killebrew doesn't deserve a "10".
I would be interested in how PSA decides on the dotted lines. You must tear apart at perforations, so you can be doomed from the start. I am assuming that if you cut the card so the dots show you will get "evid of trim". ?
Judging by both examples it is impossible to have the dotted lines showing completely all the way around, the perforation looks to be too small for that.
The Killebrew is much better center top to bottom than the Clemente.
