He said he owns two Chinese coins with a car on them.
I showed him a picture of the coin in this article.
https://coinweek.com/world-coins/the-fitzcarraldo-of-kweichow-and-the-1928-chinese-auto-dollar/
He said these were the coins he owned .
I told them they are worth a lot of money depending
in the condition.
He said he thought they were new ??
But he also said he washed them with soap.
We live close by and I asked if he would show them to me. He said he would sometime.
i live in Oregon now so I suspect there are more Chinese coins floating around the west coast .

Here in flyover country, fifteen years ago, I went into a mini-mall and there were seven or eight of those Auto dollars for sale. Chinese fakes. The sweet little old lady with the booth wanted $750 apiece for them.
Proceed with caution.
Yes I told him if he ever wants to sell to best get them certified.
He said right now they are in 2x2 's .

It's very easy for a Kweichow auto dollar to turn into a "ka-choo" auto dollar.
Caution is the word on these cool coins.
When did you move to Oregon?
Very cool but a lot of fakes out there.
Hoard the keys.
