Pinnacle brands and Beckett price guides

At some point between 2014 and 2017, Beckett stopped including Pinnacle brands as well as other manufacturers in its monthly price guide. I also have a 2016 annual guide and it doesn't have these brands anymore either.

Does anyone know why they have completely eliminated Pinnacle and other brands from both their monthly and annual price guides?

Further, for anyone who still buys that stuff from the mid to late 90's, where do you get even a ball park idea of what the card might go for these days?

I keep an old price guide with them in there, but even my 2008 and 2014 issues don't have all the inserts or product lines. I typically check ebay, COMC and beckett market place to compare asking prices, but there are some issues out there hard to find data on.

Any insight or ideas?

I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.

    They have everything online

  • So its a not-so-clever money grab, trying to sell more online subscriptions.(shakes head) Figures.

My guess is it's more of a logistics thing. It gets to a point where you print the same information over and over and over without it changing before you ask yourself "why?" Something tells me 90s Pinnacle -- and this is coming from someone who actually likes that stuff -- isn't exactly a hot potato to keep track of. My guess is there's a great many other sets just like those that they decided to spare a few thousand trees and just put the stuff that never actually changes online instead of needlessly printing it over and over and over again.

    Just a guess.

Griffey’s 90’s pinnacle in a 10 command a good premium, low pops on all of them. But Beckett is not tracking graded prices...
