Have a Large Head Indian Princess gold dollar that has been turned into a tuxedo button. I have had it for a long time, and have zero use for it. Asking $400, will consider offers.

I agree with you. My stepmother bought a set of these a long time ago. I don't like turning coins into...well anything that isn't a coin!! But on the other hand, $400 is what she wanted me to put up....even though I told her that is not gonna work :D

If it's authentic, the current melt value is only $59.82. I doubt a Dealer would give you that for it as it probably has lead or silver solder that has been melted into the gold to hold the clasp. Good luck to you.

BTW, what is the diameter of that coin?

    Kind regards,

Sorry for the delay, have been working nights. I cannot tell the date, it is covered up by the button. Diameter is 15mm. I had shown it to a dealer I know, he tested the button on the back, it is 10k but i cannot remember if he said is was or was not filled. I would imagine it is filled. The coin itself is authentic.

Melt is probably all you could get for it.
