Modern Proof Coins-Deep Cameo

TunisTunis Posts: 467 ✭✭✭✭

Sorry for the newbie question. This might be too general of a question but approximately what percentage of Proof coins are struck Deep Cameo out of the total population of Proof coins? I am collecting Lincoln cents and I wondered if this can even be estimated. Thanks in advance.

Depends on the years. If you are talking about modern Lincolns, just about all of them. If you are talking about the 1930s, then very few of them. You may be able to get a rough estimate by looking at the PCGS and NGC populations. That will probably overstate the percentage since cameos are more likely to be submitted, but it will give you a rough idea.

For the last 30 years, most. A perusal of the population report will verify.
