Exhibit on Loan to Carson City Mint RE: Cancelled Die

Having difficulty locating the thread that was discussing cancelled Carson City dies. In any event, adding to the discussion, this exhibit I came across on a recent visit to the Nevada State Museum in Carson City (which houses the old Carson City Mint) should be of interest to those following the subject:

    Yeah, thats the 1875-CC BF-1. A very interesting story about it in the Double Dimes book.

    Its also one of the great rarities that can be still found in the wild, I've found two over the last couple of years on Ebay, bringing the known population to a whopping 13 coins.
