modern (2003-present) unopened----some boxes and have packs have skyrocketed

Who could have imagined the huge increases in some of the recent unopened product out there. Outpacing even 60s and 70s unopened prices. Collectors and investors who stockpiled some years and product have cleaned up.
Check out prices on 2003 basketball, 2009 basketball, 2008 topps update baseball, 2011 topps update baseball and many other products like heritage and bowman that have rookie cards of today's most popular players like Trout, Harper, Kershaw, Scherzer, Curry, James, etc.

There just does not appear to be significant quantity out there for sale and apparently demand is outstripping supply. BBCE has very little, if any, of these years and products.

As an unopened collector who collects from the 1950s to the present, it is very expensive to keep a collection updated with the key packs and boxes if you didnt buy and hold in the year of issue.

Anyone have the foresight to stockpile 2003 or 2009 hoops boxes or 2011 baseball update boxes?

I'm working on fixing this problem as we speak. Have some deals out west next month and will be acquiring several dozen hard to find 90s/00s/10s basketball and football boxes. Will have them at the National.

It only seems a natural progression that as vintage becomes too expensive for many, that attention would turn to legitimate scarce modern issues. These issues which still have a relatively smaller buy in, but still have room to move up in value and can be sold later at at a marketable price point. A price point that can be afforded by many.
