https://ebay.com/itm/200-FOREVER-STAMPS-2-rolls-of-100-2017-USPS-Forever-US-Flag-Stamp-Coil/123109449095

Math: 1200 Stamps for $480 minus $96 (20% off today using promo) equals $384 ($0.32/stamp!.)

Now you can also go through ebates and get another 1% back & 2% more through your CC for an effective rate of $0.31/stamp!

Enough to last my entire life! B)

    Any chance they are counterfeit?

Meh. You can buy classic unused stamps on eBay well below face value and probably still come out ahead.

Judging by the feedback I'd say no worries.

True, but not fifty centers that are good forever no matter what the future price per stamp.

Any idea how big an envelope you need to mail a 1 pound media mail package with these plastered all over the front of it. :)

How hot are those Forever stamps? I remember back when I was working some guy that worked for a company that used stamps was ordering huge quantities from the post office and then stealing them and selling them. We declined to do business with him, but I can just see the police dropping by after he was caught saying "We want all of those back as stolen property."

Thanks for the heads up. I've never seen forever stamps that cheap on eBay and after 20% off on top of that just to good to pass up. I sell books on Amazon and I'm almost out of Apollo-Soyuz 10s and State Flag 13s.

Bad news is I bought mine in 1975 thinking they might be valuable one day. Silly me. Almost as bad a deal as my clad proof sets.

Thx for the heads up. I get daily emails from eBay and I don't always open them. I had missed this one.

I did not get the stamp deal you mentioned, but I did get $102 worth of 8 cent stamps for $52 - that's 51% of face. I am very happy with that, even if the designs on the 8 cent denominations tend to be somewhat uninspiring.

Your mom must be a young whippersnapper, I remember using 4 and 5 cent stamps, maybe ever 3 centers although I might be imagining that.

I actually just did this with a smaller quantity... 200 forever stamps for $80 and then 20% off makes 200 for $64. Which is exactly 32 cents each. I guess then I get an extra 1% back in bucks and credit card points too.

If you are willing to buy lower denomination stamps and cobble together 50 cents from them, there are lots of other listings - just search "discount postage" and look at Buy It Now listings to see what is there (must be $50 and over to get the discount),

36% off on discount stamps is a good minimum %age.

Good but not a super hot deal.

Best I've gotten was in low to mid 4x%.

Agree on your % assessments. I got down into the 30s once when I bought a small collection that had lots of pics but no total face stated. I added them up myself and did not have much competition.

When they first came out, a lot of the Forever stamps on eBay were "hot". Now, they are cold...as cold as the dead collector who owned them.

When I buy estate collections now, they typically have Forever stamps in them. I recently bought an estate that had almost $500 face value in sheets of Forever stamps that some poor old collector had bought.

I inherited around 8k in forever stamps . I'm very happy . They pay better interest than any savings account. I just counted them up and put them away.

Do you all realize that right now there is more stamp talk here on the coin forum than there is on the stamp forum? :D:D:D

That's because the average stamp collector is 90 years old...the average coin collector is only 75.

Does that mean that the guys on the baseball card forum will be the ones talking about coins in another 15 years? :p

Forever stamps. Made in....you guessed it...China. Most midern stamps really aren't that difficult to fake if you have the printing equipment. In the old days all our stamps were engraved like banknotes, but now it is just midern lithography.
