That’s what I thought. 🫤 Thanks for the input.
Re: Military Tokens Thread
Nice power chip @Iceberg77
While not technically a military piece, I did pick this one up off the ground in Iraq in '03.

I also have a few of them. But I haven't seen the brass Walkerhill token yet. >
I have yet to see any of the brass ones myself, there are five of them out there somewhere.
Here's this weeks entry a poker chip I came across from Casino Walker Hill. Probably not a military token but in keeping with the theme...
Re: Saturday morning coffee with coins
Bending the rules, I had these out yesterday, both types for the 1991 Libertad:

Re: Space Font Used
The font was used to create the iconic second generation NASA logo, called, "The Worm". (The first generation NASA logo was called, "The Meatball").
Re: Should the US Mint be backdating coins over a hundred years?
Dual-dates are the way to go. Honor the original issue with a current date. By some of the logic used for the bicentennials, every state quarter, presidential dollar, and several commemoratives are "backdated." I don't think backdating or future dating is an issue so long as it is possible to identify the actual year in which the coin was made in.
Many late 18th century and early 19th century dies were used as long as they still functioned, regardless of the year. Another example that comes to mind are the large cents struck in December 1815. And how about the VIP Sacagawea Dollars produced in November 1999 for the Cheerios Dollars from the same period?
Re: Rarity7 (Re)Discovers Unique 1851 $5 Schultz on 1847 Mexico 8R
Very interesting item.
That is obviously a later die state. Part of the die between "GOLD" and the rim has already broken completely off (forming a large cud die break). An earlier die state on a gold piece shows the crack, but the die piece hasn't yet broken away:
