Not eye candy but I dug this out of the ground in my backyard metal detecting and was the first old copper I found. I like it a lot.

For today, I'll post this one. When I think of the term "hard surfaces" as it pertains to early copper, this coin comes to mind!

Today's favorite coin-
I've posted it before many times. I took a look at it while in the safe. This coin always makes me smile.
It has a cheek like a cloud.

I bought both of these raw, at different times, from a wholesale dealer friend’s stock boxes some years ago as spontaneous purchases.
Decided to get them slabbed, and surprised how much these have gone up:

The second one is a Silly Head. The TV is a 1839/6 F12 with a bean.

While I understand this is a free forum it does host MULTIPLE BST forums where transactions are taking place. The security of this forum is some how compromised... I, at this point, believe there must be something with the forum security that is allowing these hacks to transpire. It is more than hackers getting lucky on some kind of phishing expedition.

I IMPLORE the powers that be to investigate and help the people on this forum. There is a direct attack on us and it appears the forums lack of security is facilitating it.

The coins were sold too soon and I think selling them privately would have yielded more money.
