Re: You have 100,000 dollars to spend on rare coins of your choice. What are you buying?
I'd buy a couple dozen double eagles at near melt in NGC/PCGS MS63 slabs. It would be a very liquid investment where I could easily sell a few coins if I ever needed to raise some cash.
Here’s my Morgan dollar- post yours
I’m essentially a Type collector, so I only have one (common-date) Morgan in my collection. I’m sure the rest of you will blow this thread up, though.
These NGC pics show the surfaces well, but not the luster.

Here’s my Civil War token- post yours
I used to have an MS65 of this die pairing, but like this one better. Eye appeal beats grade in my game. I was fascinated by the USS Monitor as a kid- built the model kit.
A Few New Purchases for my Classic Commemorative Half Dollar Collection
These 3 are my latest additions to my newest journey into the classic commem. series. A big thank you to Steve, for the purchase of the 66CAC Albany.
Was really happy to acquire the 1938-P Texas, with a low mintage figure of around 3700 pieces struck.

Surprised at how many dealers peddle these fakes....Is that one a fake? There is a dark spot on edge on obverse above dot between E PL. The reverse also shows a dark spot on star between One and United.
Well, the obverse barcode scans a gold $10, reverse QR scans the correct cert number but for the CN PCGS site, and then there is the gasket fit. Images in case the listing goes puff...

P.S. the seller is very nice. He said the first person who contacted him read him the federal code and all but threatened him with prison. Lol
Unfortunately, there have been many instances in which I’ve heard similar from sellers I’ve contacted. I sure wish that people who message sellers about counterfeits would be informative and polite, rather than rude and threatening. They should keep in mind that 1) the sellers might not be bad guys and they don’t know us or that we’re giving them accurate information.
