My New Years Resolution -------------- 26 Free Giveaways for 2025
For 2025, as I wind down my 'collecting' and move on to other pursuits, I will try to have 26 free giveaways this year.
Nothing fancy but some 'collecting' items that other people may appreciate.
Not sure how I will decide the winner of each yet but will post the rules in each giveaway post.
I'm looking forward to it..........hope you are as well.
I've had a great time on this Forum and met [mostly online here / some in person] many fantastic people.
Lastly, I have learned so much more about Numismatics here than could ever be learned elsewhere.
Every Person here, in their own way, is fantastic.

new kings get made every year. it's good to know the mintages and how the modern commems are doing, but we're all expecting new kings will be made

The 2020 V75 Gold eagle is selling for 14k or higher at 1,945 mintage.
They made the V75 one year. They make commemoratives every year. Mintages are low because no one buys them.
PS Nobody wanted the gold buffalo fractionals and they sat around until they finally sold out with little interest.
On the contrary, the 08 W gold buff fractionals were a one-year issue that never sat around. The mint had to actually quit selling gold coins because of a gold planchet shortage in 08. I was fortunate to purchase dozens of buffalo and burnished eagle four coin sets direct from the mint before there was even a hint of a planchet shortage. Three year run (06, 07 and 08) on the burnished W gold eagle fractionals also resulted in coins that didn't sit around, especially the 08's. Likely that the gold buff and burnished eagle fractionals were halted after 08 because of unknown future planchet availability.

I can see a sub 1000 mintage.
Bad design, soaring gold price, and a raise in the mint premium.
The $5 gold commemorative is a dead series and getting deader by the issue.
Sub 1000 I can see it. 10 years ago I would have agreed with you no way under a 1000 but it could easily happen if things keep
Going like they have been

Re: Its Never Going to Stop
the difficult ones are the listings that use a genuine picture but mail a counterfeit
Re: Its Never Going to Stop
eBay does list the items as from China or Hong Kong and I don't even look at those items.

Re: W Quarter Pricing Continues To Be Strong Heading In To 2025
Apparently, Mr. Feld decided to take a much needed break from the boards after recently trying to bring sanity to a thread here on Flowing Hair Gold privy coins; literally an impossible task absent a (much needed) slight modification of the rules here (but that discussion is for another day).
Let’s not have this interesting thread on W quarters also quickly deteriorate due to a “lover’s quarrel” between a couple valuable forum members. I don’t give a darn about VaultBox - that discussion has absolutely no place here on this tread. If anyone wants to talk about that topic, please hunt down 18 month old threads and go hurl accusations, or defenses to conduct over there (which I won’t need to waste my time reading). Fair enough?
As to W quarters, I have a couple substantive points to make on the subject, if we can get back on task now. Everyone OK with getting back to discussing the market for W quarters heading into 2025?
